Hello, my name is Bonnie Parham and I am the owner of Archangel Audio Productions. When I was 8 years old my hobby was playing with tape decks. At night I would sit and diligently record my favorite TV shows. Then I would take tape decks and play the same song or scene side- by- side, figuring out which deck played the same recording faster and bringing them into and out of sync.
My mother loved live theatre and encouraged me to participate with her in our local community playhouse. My best memories of her were together in a community theatre, learning stagecraft and play production. From prop mistress to stage manager, my mother taught me the same passion. Her affection for the stage soon carried over to the real-life drama of politics, where she went on to become very active in the local political scene.
Years later I was inspired by my favorite rock band to get into the music business. So I enlisted myself as a stagehand at a local college venue, and went on to work as a stagehand for over a decade. Even now I am a proud member of IATSE, Local 321. It was during this time that I reinvented myself and began specializing in sound. Little did I know that it would turn into a lifelong love that is both amazing and rewarding.
I think good audio is incredibly sexy. It doesn’t have to be too loud or too soft…it should be present, clean and full bodied in all its charismatic glory. It should draw the listener in, toy with them, and leave them hungry for more. It should be distinct and memorable.
